Deep Roots in Henderson
Annette Dawson Owens is a true Nevadan. She graduated from Basic High School and went on to get master’s degrees from UNLV and Sierra Nevada Universities.
As a teacher, Annette devoted her life to ensuring our children get the best education possible. She’s worked for the school district, charter schools, and served as the School Readiness Policy Director for the Children’s Advocacy Alliance.
A Trusted Educator
The last three Henderson mayors have appointed Annette to serve on the city’s Community Education Advisory Board. She’s served on local task forces and worked closely with programs that help incarcerated women.
A New Day for Nevada
Annette’s main focus as our next Assemblywoman will be improving our education system. She’s spent her whole life preparing for this moment and will advocate for all children, regardless of their circumstances. Education is a worthy investment. It creates better workers, leads to better jobs, and makes our community somewhere people can see a future for themselves.
Help Get Nevada Back on Track.
